ALL Luno users - including people who are not BPs - have access to in-app codes. In some cases, using one of these codes might be more appropriate and you can learn all about them here.

In-app codes are rewarded DIRECTLY into your Luno wallet, in Bitcoin, when the person you're referring makes their deposit of £100. In other words, you do NOT need payment codes from the BP community to be delivered to you - it's automatic!

Depending on your level, you will earn between £20 and £40 per referral.

While you can earn some Bitcoin by simply referring people, the vast majority of the earning potential is in the part that comes afterwards - that is, helping people learn all about Bitcoin and increasing their net holdings. You can earn an ADDITIONAL £150 per referral by doing so.

There is a direct correlation between the level of knowledge people have and the amount of Bitcoin they own. In broad terms, once you "see" Bitcoin, you can't "unsee" it! This is why the BP rewards in this area are based on total level of investment your referral holds as follows:

Your referral invests £500 or more = you receive an additional £50

Your referral invests £2000 or more = you recieve an additinal £100

As you can see, helping people learn about Bitcoin is not only very lucractive for yourself, but it also builds the value of the entire global network by driving adoption faster. Most importantly, someone you've helped now has access to an alternative financial system for the first time in their lives!

It's important to note some keys points on this:

a) TOTAL INVESTMENT LEVEL

The total investment level can include the money already invested to get the initial reward. In other words, if they used an in-app code to gain a reward of up to £40, they only need to add another £400. This is INVESTMENT level which means that this is the amount that your referral needs to put into the app to create the reward. So, for example, if someone buys £300 of Bitcoin and it goes up to £500, the reward will NOT be triggered. Finally, the total amount can be spread between ANY crypto, not just Bitcoin.

b) PAYMENT MECHANISM

Your rewards are monitored directly by Luno and reported on at the end of the month. Whenever any of your referrals qualifies, you will get your reward paid out to you via payment code (see "referral codes" section above for details on this)

c) REWARD *ONLY* FOR BP

This reward is NOT one that is paid to you AND your referral. This is to reward YOU for getting them started and helping them along. Your referral will be unaware of the reward you receive (although you're welcome to tell them if you wish) and they will not receive any additional benefits above their initial introductory reward.

d) TIME LIMIT

As long as the BP community is running and you're an active BP*, these rewards will stand with no time limit. In other words, even if has been a year or more since you introduced someone to Bitcoin and it took them that long to really learn about it and get involved, your reward will still be triggered when they make their investment of at least £500. This means it's worth promoting the provided resources to them AND ensuring that they are attending the next webinar. Of course, it's also wise to keep up with the latest information yourself!

*an active BP is defined as someone who has been through the set up process, got their code, used it at least once and is in the Telegram group. Leaving the Telegram group will deactivate your code.

e) HARD SELL/INVESTMENT ADVICE

This is extremely important - you are NOT a financial advisor and encouraging people directly to put money into Bitcoin is definitely not something we should be doing - even if you passionately believe it is the right move! Our role is to help people get started and then lead them to the resources they need so they can make thier own decisions. You MUST NOT try any form of hard sell. Not only does this go against what we stand for and what we're trying to do, it may well be illegal!

The estimates of the number of people using Bitcoin in the UK vary wildly, but the reality is that even the most optimistic count shows that there are still ten of millions of people in the UK who have yet to learn about Bitcoin or get started with it. This means we're going to need some help ... ALOT of help!

There's no upper limit on the number of Bitcoin Pioneers we can have in the community so we encourage all our BPs to introduce others to join usW e will reward you with an additional £50 in Bitcoin for every successful introduction. Around a third of our BPs have come from introductions from existing BPs.

However, there are a few things you need to know:

a) Introductions need to go through the same process as everyone else, including a quick chat with the Community Lead, Jason Deane

b) You need to have done a minimum of three referrals yourself before you an introduce new BPs.

c) Introductions should be briefed and vetted before being advised to apply - this is where you earn your £50! Please DO NOT send people over who are clearly not qulaified in the hope of getting £50 (yes, it's happened!) as it will simply waste everyone's time and make you look bad. At the end of the day, your new BP will also be representing you to an extent!

d) The £50 is triggered when your newly introduced BP has done a minimum of 3 BP referrals themselves (ie helped at least 3 people get started). There is no time limit, so it can weeks or months after they were introduced.

e) To make an introduction, send your protential BP to the home page to complete the sign up form. Make sure they mention your name or (BP code if you prefer) and it will be logged.

If you have a gorup of people you'd like to introduce to Bitcoin then why not set up a live event or a webinar? Don't worry, you won't have to do the speaking if you don't want to, our community lead can do that for you, either in person (subject to geographical limitations) or via a webinar.

All you have to do is set the time and place, either physically or digitally, and get people there. We'll take care of the rest.

We like to see a minimum of 25 people on the attendance list, but we have done events as large as 900 on a webinar! They are can be set up for work departments, church groups, charities, social groups or any group you see fit. Work events are usually done at lucnhtimes (such as a "lunch and learn" events) or at quarterly or annual meetings, including offsite events.

The event can be tailored to include YOUR referral code at the end, so you can help people can get started there and then, or, if appropriate, can include a discussion about becoming a Bitcoin Pioneer.

Once the event has happened (and at least 25 people have attended) a bonus of £50 will be added to your next month's payment code. Any referrals or BP introductions from the event will be tracked as described above
